This Beast of a Camper Is Built for the Roughest of Adventures

Undoubtedly, North America has witnessed a surge in off-grid and off-road living machines over the past few years. Among the companies making significant contributions to this trend, Off Grid Trailers (OGT), a Canadian team, stands out for their innovative, all-metal units. The Expedition 3.0 serves as an excellent example of their remarkable work.

The most remarkable feature of the Expedition 3.0 is its extensive rear storage space. Instead of a typical galley setup, this camper offers a large wall-to-wall storage system with eight bays and shelves. This design allows campers to bring along a wide range of equipment, tools, and essentials, making it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, travelers, and even professionals in need of a mobile workstation.

The front of the Expedition is dedicated to the galley, accessed by opening the nose storage box and deploying two slideouts. Equipped with a dual-burner stove, stainless steel sink, faucet, and a 31-gallon (141-liter) water-holding capacity, this outdoor kitchen ensures campers have all they need for cooking and relaxing. It also features an on-demand hot water heater and a shower for added convenience. Additional features for outdoor living include a 1,000W inverter, dual deep cycle batteries, and a Zamp solar port.

Inside the camper, there is ample storage for essentials, an electrical setup monitor, a two-person mattress, and air conditioning and heating systems to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. The Expedition also features a roof rack system capable of supporting up to 1,000 lbs (454 kg) of cargo, such as e-bikes or kayaks.

With 21 inches (53 cm) of ground clearance and a Timbren 3500 HD suspension, the Expedition is well-equipped to handle off-road adventures and challenging terrains. Additionally, there’s an option to upgrade to 8 inches (20 cm) of travel and 25 inches (63.5 cm) of ground clearance for those seeking even more rugged capabilities.

The Expedition 3.0 offers incredible value, with a base price of $34,750 (€33,000 at current exchange rates) making it accessible to a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts. Off Off-grid trailers have created a versatile and well-equipped off-road camper that caters to the needs of adventurers, making it a remarkable choice for those looking to explore the great outdoors.
