Hyundai Grandeur EV Design
The Grand Heritage EV concept car served as inspiration for certain of the Grandeur EV’s characteristics, while the Ioniq 5 and Palisade served as inspiration for others.
Exterior Features
One possibility is that the Grandeur EV will take design ideas from the classic Grandeur. In that instance, the rear quarter windows of the car would actually be individual panes.
This theory is bolstered by the fact that Hyundai included identical glass panels in their Grandeur Heritage concept vehicle. Also, Hyundai may adopt the same taillight design for the Grandeur EV that they did for the regular Grandeur, but this time with LEDs instead.
Interior Features
The Grandeur EV will have a high-end interior with three HD screens. Two of these screens would be available in a single, huge black panel4 for the driver to use.
Information relevant to the driver, such as ADAS capabilities, battery life, and driving range, would be displayed on a screen designed specifically for that purpose. The secondary screen is a touchscreen audio/visual entertainment hub.
There will be a third touchscreen display in the middle console, although it will be set at a lower level. There will be buttons for adjusting the temperature and reclining the seat to your liking.
This is an extreme departure from the usual dashboard buttons, but the end effect should be a more streamlined appearance.
It has been speculated that the back seats of Hyundai’s upcoming electric vehicle will be exceptionally luxurious. Passengers in the back seats will be able to adjust the leg rests electronically.
Better even, if Hyundai follows the lead of its own Ioniq 5, these seats could recline and the center one could fold out into a work table.
A magic roof, a feature typically associated with luxury vehicles, will be standard on the 2017 Hyundai Grandeur. With an electrochromic shading system built into the glass roof, drivers will have far more control over the quantity of light let into the vehicle than they would with a standard roller blind.
