One model of the Yamaha MT-125 BS6 naked street bike is offered. The MT125 has a 124cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valves, fuel-injection, liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.7 HP at 10000 rpm and 11.5 Nm at 8000 rpm of torque. The MT 125 features a single-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS), disc brakes in both the front and back, and a 6-speed manual transmission (the top speed of a Yamaha MT 125 is 120 km/h) (anti-locking braking system). Four distinct hues are offered. The estimated cost of a Yamaha MT 125 (On-Road) in Delhi is 1,42,801.
A short while ago, the MT-125 debuted in European markets. This bike is far more compact than the Yamaha MT-15 that can be purchased in India. There are new colour options available for the MT-125 street fighter series. The Storm Fluo colour scheme combines matte white with red highlights on the wheels and tank. Tech Black paint, on the other hand, has an almost invisible appearance.
The gasoline tank on the 2022 Yamaha MT125 is 11 litres, making it significantly larger than the MT-15 it replaces. It uses upside-down telescopic forks and a mono-shock suspension for suspension duties, but before its sale in India, the unit swing suspension will be removed to keep the price down.
When it comes to VVA systems, this is the first high-performance example that offers torque for convenience at low RPM. A separate intake valve cam operates at high engine speeds, and a separate intake valve cam operates at low to medium engine speeds. To guarantee consistent power and torque across the whole rpm range, they swap places at 7,400.
With a Bi-Functional LED headlight, you can confidently navigate even the darkest streets and appreciate improved night vision. It is technologically innovative and the first of its kind because the high and low beams are combined into a single, compact unit. The MT-125’s tiny, elegant headlight is a hallmark of the model.
Yamaha is not anticipated to introduce the MT125 to the Indian market, therefore the MT15 will remain the company’s entry-level performance naked bike.

Verdict On Yamaha MT-125
The MT-125 takes cues from its larger sibling’s muscular and striking style to create a vehicle that stands out from the crowd. The bike now has a more distinctive look and a more menacing demeanour thanks to the redesign of the headlights. It’s well-made and nicely finished all around.
The addition of VVA technology, already a highlight of the Yamaha MT-125, is the icing on the cake. The VVA function offers both a robust bottom end and a robust top end. With the new slipper clutch mechanism, the transmission is even more capable of minimizing wheel hop during rapid downshifts. This nimble street fighter is a blast to ride and will leave you wanting more.
Yamaha’s MT-125 uses a modified version of the YZF-delta R125’s box chassis. The length of the swing arm has been shortened while the rigidity around it has been increased. It rides smoothly and comfortably thanks to the high-quality KYB up-side front forks and KYB mono shocks. It’s easy to move around with because the machine is so light.
The MT-125 has reliable brakes. It’s equipped with dual-channel ABS like the rest of the motorcycles in its class, but unlike the others, you can’t turn off the system for the back wheels. Michelin Pilot street tyres are installed, and the rear tyre size has been increased to 140 millimeters.
Yamaha has made significant upgrades to the MT-125 since the previous model was made available. The chassis and some of the features have been updated. The overall ride quality and handling qualities have been enhanced. The MT-125 is a great bike, but it’s overpriced compared to the competition in its class, which all offer comparable features and performance for far less money. The 2022 Yamaha MT-125 is a fantastic motorcycle with plenty of features if we ignore the asking price.
