In a groundbreaking event, Mercedes-Benz India has officially introduced its highly anticipated electric SUV, the Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 Electric SUV, to the Indian market. This innovative electric vehicle comes with an introductory price tag of 1.39 Crores.
During the event, Santosh Iyer, the Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, discussed the company’s new approach to customer engagement. They are moving away from traditional large showrooms to boutique outlets. The first of these boutique outlets was inaugurated today in Vadodara. Iyer also revealed that in the near future, customers will have the opportunity to visit the new Customer Experience Center located at the Pune plant. Here, they can configure and book their cars, tour the plant, and even test their vehicles on an off-road track. This initiative is being undertaken in partnership with Ritz Carlton.
Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz India made a noteworthy announcement by opening all its fast-charging stations across the country to all electric vehicle brands. This significant move aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles throughout India, and the company currently operates 140 charging stations across the country.

Look and Design
The Mercedes EQE SUV retains the elegant design language and precise body contours characteristic of the brand’s other electric vehicles. It incorporates practical design elements such as aerodynamic wheels and a sealed-off front grille, which are features shared with other electric models.
Equipped with air suspension and 20-inch wheels, the EQE SUV may enhance the SUV’s ride height by an additional 25 mm. This sizable SUV boasts dimensions of 4,863 mm in length, 1,685 mm in height, and a generous wheelbase measuring 3,030 mm.

The EQE 500 SUV comes standard with the impressive 56-inch Hyperscreen display from the brand. This interior feature consists of three screens seamlessly connected by a sturdy piece of toughened glass, creating a cohesive dashboard layout. All three screens, including the passenger display and central infotainment unit, serve dual purposes by offering entertainment and serving as information displays, particularly in the case of the digital instrument panel.
The EQE is equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), a high-quality Burmester sound system featuring 15 speakers, a cabin-wide high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter for improved air quality, and front seat massaging features to enhance overall comfort.
