Tragic Accident: 25-Year-Old Man Loses Control of Motorcycle, Killed on I-94

A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Friday evening in Washington County, Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident took place around 5 p.m. on Interstate 94 in the Lakeland area, approximately 8 miles south of Stillwater.

While attempting to change lanes, the motorcyclist lost control and veered down an embankment. The bike struck a sign before coming to rest on the St. Croix Trail.

The victim was identified as 25-year-old Jacob Alexander Boldenow of Woodbury. Boldenow was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which happened under dry road conditions per the incident report.

Alcohol was not a factor in the accident, stated authorities. The Minnesota State Patrol ruled the cause of the crash as a loss of control during a lane change maneuver. The fatal I-94 motorcycle accident remains under investigation.
